Congratulations are in order for James Chorley on completing his Professional Training with the Independent Funeral Directors’ College.
James joined Crescent Funeral Services in Taunton as an apprentice at 16 and has been receiving specialist tutoring from the IFD College to complete his Certificate in Funeral Practice.
Now 18, James is the youngest in the IFD College’s history to complete this qualification – and the youngest in the UK. And the course, which would normally take at least three years to complete, was completed in just two.
Simon Helliar-Moore, Director of Crescent Funeral Services, explained: “It has been amazing to witness James applying himself to learning all aspects of the funeral profession.
“We have not held back from supporting his training, allowing him to experience all aspects of the profession, and this, along with his hard work and determination, certainly helped him. James is a credit to the profession and has a bright career ahead of him.”
