Dying Matters Week on the way
Dying Matters Awareness Week takes place on Monday 8 May until Sunday 14 May this year, with the theme ‘What Can You Do?’
Following on from last year’s ‘Big Conversation’, which advised people on how to start speaking to their families about death and bereavement, this year aims to encourage active planning for the future, and help those who may need extra support.
This will be the eighth Dying Matters Awareness Week. With each passing year the campaign has grown in size and impact.
Speaking about Awareness Week 2016, Chief Executive of Dying Matters Claire Henry said: “We certainly had more social media mentions, more web traffic and it looks like we had more events, more conversations and reached more people than ever before.”
