Continued IFD College membership
Members are obliged to provide evidence of 12 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) to continue their membership of the Independent Funeral Directors (IFD) College from 1 November 2018. Membership of the college demonstrates individuals are actively maintaining and developing their knowledge to perform to the highest standard within the profession.
If you have not started recording your CPD, a form is available on the website, which needs to be completed for continued Membership from 1 November 2018.
The last qualifying CPD event for membership to continue will be SAIF’s Education Day on 31 October. A confirmed booking will count as evidence.
Membership will cease on 31 October 2018 if evidence of completion of 12 hours of CPD is not provided and you should immediately cease using the letters MIFDC after your name, remove any references to membership of the College from your website and paperwork, and return your Certificate to the College Administrator.
Please ensure that your completed CPD form is returned to the IFD College Administrator by 30 September 2018 with your membership payment of £30.00 for 2018/2019.
If you are a Cert. FP, NAFD Diploma or BIFD Diploma holder and wish to apply to become a new member from 1 November 2018, please contact the College Administrator opposite for details of how to apply.
If you have any questions, please call the IFD College Administrator Corinne Pengelly on 0345 230 6777 or by email.
