Now’s the time to pick up digital
We’ve developed our Daperless Applications service to help you navigate a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliant funeral plan sale with ease. It’s been designed to allow you to continue having natural and flexible conversations with your families, while meeting the regulatory requirements.
The refreshed user-friendly platform will be updated ahead of 29 July, to walk you through all of the information required by the FCA that is relevant to each individual customer journey, step by step. It also makes it easier for you to submit a fully completed funeral plan application first time.
Adopting Digital Applications is the single most important thing to do to make your transition to FCA regulation as simple as possible, so it’s worth investing some time now to get familiar with how the system works. Going paperless will offer you a far more intuitive and less complex process than can be achieved on paper in a regulated environment.
To meet FCA requirements, the offline sales journey will soon have more forms and requirements than you’re used to. We’re working to streamline the paper journey as much as possible, however it will not be possible to replicate the simplicity, ease and user-friendliness of the online journey on paper.
I’d encourage you to become familiar with Digital Applications ahead of regulation. We’ve made it easy for you to tick one more thing off the list ahead of 29 July by making the system available to all of our partners. You can test out the new site, click through the different screens, and become more familiar with how the system works before you submit an application.
Join the hundreds of funeral directors already choosing to use Digital Applications and try it for yourself by logging in here. If you’d like some help, you can also join one of our popular informal digital drop-in sessions every Thursday at 10am.
