Standing up to cancer
Last year’s national Funeral Planner of the Year winner is hoping she can bring some luck to four of her local charities. Vicki Fraser, of John Fraser & Son, has agreed to take part in Highland Hearts of Gold, an event which brings four charities together for one cause.
Marie Curie Scotland North, Maggie’s Highlands, Highland Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support Scotland will all benefit from the fundraiser which features four brave ambassadors from each charity taking to the stage to share their stories of living with illness, dealing with grief and the celebration of life and survival.
Vicki will be speaking on behalf of Marie Curie about her personal experience of the charity who supported her in her dad’s final days. Vicki’s son Marcus will be there to support his mum and will take to the catwalk in memory of his grandad.
